• The Aphanius farsicus is a rare and captivating killifish from Iran, prized by aquarists seeking unusual species. Adults reach 2–3 cm (0.8–1.2 inches), making them ideal for small to medium-sized freshwater aquariums. This species originates from a saltwater lake and 1 teaspoon of salt per 5 gallons is recommended but not needed. I breed and raise in full freshwater.   This species features subtle, shimmering patterns and thrives in neutral to slightly alkaline water at 72–79°F 

In the aquarium, it prefers planted tanks with open swimming areas and hiding spots, along with gentle water flow. Aphanius farsicus is peaceful and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish. Its diet includes live foods like brine shrimp and daphnia, or high-quality micro-pellets.
