I personally made this design.
I made this to eliminate snails in my own aquariums. Every time I had an apistogramma spawn, The eggs would be eaten by snails. Finally I had enough and made these snail traps. Bottom has 2mm holes to drain water when lifting out of the aquarium. The lid is made so snails get in but have a hard time ever getting back out. The way it works is you put a piece of a cucumber or another snail favorite food inside and wait a few hours or overnight.
Some people have these to collect snail food for puffer fish Others just to remove unwanted snails.
